Each plant will come in its own 40 by 80mm pot, will be at least 14 to 20cm tall and will be ready to plant into its final position

I cannot guarantee availability of any variety as we move such a large amount of stock. This will be a random pack of Eucalyptus varieties

Platypus gums

Eucalyptus platypus

Round-Leafed Moort

 

A great Australian Native

Originally from Western Australia

 

The plants you are buying will be 15-20cm tall and will have established roots and will be ready to plant out.

 

Fast growing

 

Tolerates poorly drained soils

 

Flower from spring to autumn

 

They are well known for the abundance of cream colored flowers they produce.

 

These make great shelter belts and can handle alot of wind making them useful as windbreaks and to limit wind erosion.

 

These are a low growing gum that maintains its foliage quite densely from low down right to the top of the tree and they will grow approximately 3-10 metres in height and width

 

These are a very hardy variety that are frost and drought tolerant.

 

Smooth light brown bark that fades to grey as it ages

 

Meium frost resistance when established

 


 

Blue gums

Eucalyptus globulus

 

These are a huge, hardy fast growing tree

 

I would not recommend them for a suburban block as they really grow big.

 

They grow best in areas with over 450mm of rain per annum

 

THEY CAN GROW 3 METRES A YEAR AFTER THE FIRST COUPLE OF YEARS.

 

WILL GROW 1-2 METRES A YEAR IN THE FIRST 2 YEARS.

 

They are a great hardwood timber with a wide range of uses from construction, heavy indoor and outdoor furniture, firewood to paper pulp.

 

Tolerates medium frosts

 

Cream coloured flowers

Its mature leaves are 15-30cm long

 

 

They will grow approximately 15 to 30 metres high depending on soil and water conditions.

 

Is quite frost, drought, and heat tolerant when established

 


 

 

Sugar gum

Eucalyptus cladocalyx

 

These are extremely hardy trees that can cope with harsh conditions once established

 

This is a very hardy variety that is grown around Australia for shelter, wood and

 

garden

 

They will grow 15 to 25 metres high depending on soil and water conditions.

 

 

A fast growing native that will grow around 1 metre per year once established.

 

Masses of dainty light, yellow flowers in spring to early summer that attract insect and honey eating birds.

 

Is able to withstand frosts, drought, wind, and heat when established

 


 

River Red Gum

Eucalyptus camaldulensis

 

Myrtaceae

 

Presently 15-20cm tall

 

This is a Fast growing very hardy variety that is grown widely around Australia for shelter, wood and garden.

 

They can handle long periods of wet and/or dry

 

They will grow approximately 15 to 30 metres high depending on soil and water conditions.

 

A fast, tall growing native tree that will grow around 1 metre per year once established.

 

Masses of dainty light, yellow flowers in spring to early summer that attract insect and honey eating birds.

 

Able to withstand frosts, drought, wind and heat when established

Blue Box

Eucalyptus bauerana / magnificata

 

These are a hardy tall tree that grow to around 10 metres tall

Is frost, drought and heat tolerant and considered endangered in the wild.

 

Will normally grow multiple stems similar to the mallee trees.

 

Their round leaves are a glossy blue green in the mature plants whilst the juvenile plants bear round blue green leaves.

 

White flower clusters from November to April.

 

Will grow in a broad range of soils to quite sandy to clay loam soils.

 


 

Manna Gum

Eucalyptus viminalis

 

Great for koalas

Common names: Manna Gum, White Gum, Ribbon Gum or Viminalis

 

Grows to a height of 40-50 metres.

 

A tall variety that grows quite erect

 

Hardy and fast

 

They have rough brown bark a the base with the white smooth bark up further in the trunk and branches.

 


 

Ironbark Gum

Eucalyptus

 

Iron bark are a very hardy gum tree.

 

Soft yellow flowering form

 

The rugged and ridged bark with its gnarled ridge effect adds a rustic touch.

 

The ironbark wood polishes up well and is used in furniture and flooring

 

Also great to plant some for future fire wood

 

Full sun to light shade

 

Grow approximately 10 to 20 metres tall and 10 m wide.

 

Medium sized evergreen ornamental tree

 

Grey green weeping foliage

 

Light Yellow flowers in clusters
