Acacia pyncantha

Family: Fabaceae

A hardy small to medium sized native tree.
Drought resistant once established.
Frost hardy to around minus 7 degrees.
Suitable for coastal areas.
Bird and insect attracting.
Will tolerate pollution, so is suitable for planting in car parks, on roadsides etc.
Position: Prefers a sunny position. Can handle both wet and dry soils.
Foliage: broader leaves up to 15cm in length. Evergreen.
Flowers: Golden pom-pom flowers in clusters late winter spring
Height: Approx 5-8 metres.
