- A very hardy variety native to Western Australia's open woodlands.
- Widely used in garden plantings across Australia.
- Drought resistant once established.
- Withstands mild frosts.
- Also ideal for hedging.
Position: Full sun to light shade. Can be used in arid, dry positions in your garden, but will also do well in moist places with good drainage.
Flowers: Magnificent, abundant red to deep pink flowers. Long flowering between April and November.
Height: Approx 1 metre.
Width: Approx 1 metre.
The name Eremophila is derived from the Ancient Greek ἐρῆμος (erêmos) meaning "lonely" or "desert" and φίλος (phílos) meaning “dear" or "beloved” alluding to the species' adaptation to arid environments. (Wikipedia)
