Red Weeping Dwarf Bottlebrush
Callistemon viminalis

Very popular due to its lower final height, dense growing habit, profuse  and long flowering season and its weeping form.

Hardy and quite fast growing native shrubs, that will give an abundace of vivid red bottlebrush flowers in spring to summer.
 
Drought-tolerant once established (xeriscaping)
 
 Great for also for containers, edging, rockeries, hedges, borders, screens etc 
 
This variety will grow to a height of approximately 1.5 to 2 metre tall and wide
 
Named to commerate the landing of Captain Cook on the east coast of Australia in 1770. 
 
A smaller growing form of the bottlebrush viminalis callistemon.
 
The new growth is pink that darkens to green as they mature.

They attract birds to your garden.

They will also grow in frost prone and coastal areas
 
Once established this variety will handle long periods without rain but it will also grow well in quite wet conditions.
 
They pretty much look after themselves once established.
 
Able to withstand full sun to semi shade
 
They will grow in most soil types
