This variety is hard to come by and we rarely have them in stock.
 
Drought-tolerant once established.
 
Great for xeriscaping, containers, edging, rockeries, Low hedges. 
 
This variety will grow to a height of approximately 1 metre tall and wide.
 
It has the large masses of deep red bottle brush flowers that are seen in gardens through out the world. 
 
They attract birds to your garden.

Whether you want the weeping form of the Dawson river special or the magnificent upright semi cascades of the scarlet and kings park specials or the low shrub with its red floral spread of the dwarf bottlerush you will find that we usually have them in stock.

Once established this variety will handle long periods without rain but it will also grow well in quite wet conditions.
 
A light prune after flowering will ensure a tighter, more compact form.
 
Callistemons (bottle brush) are popular native shrubs/small trees that are hardy.
 
 They will also grow in frost prone and coastal areas.
 
They pretty much look after themselves once established.
 
Able to withstand full sun to semi shade.
 
 They will grow in most soil types.
