1 plant of
Camellia Dona Herzilia de Freitas Magalhaes
Camellia japonica

Magnificent flowers that change colors as they mature.
The flowers of this variety open dark pink and darken to purple with maturity.

I find this variety extremely hard to stock. Every 3 to 4 years I manage to get access to this variety.

My favourite camellia.
Stunning!!!!

These are an early flowering form of camellia with blooms from early autumn to winter

Mid Green glossy leaves that start out with some tones of red that darken to green as they mature.

Beautifully foliaged and flowering plants
Evergreen

They work well scattered or massed around you garden.

Often used to add height contrast and color to gardens.

Shrub to Small Tree

Will grow to approximately 2 to 3 metres tall or they can be trimmed and trained from any height of around 40cm onwards.

Japonica Camellia grow in full sun to quite shady positions.
But are best kept out of the afternoon summer sun in the hot parts of Australia.

We also usually stock some Camellia sasanqua varieties.
Sasanqua Camellia have a higher sun tolerance and will grow in full sun to part shade.

Great cut flowers, feature plantings, borders, screening, pots, tubs, veranda, balcony, scattered plantings, mass plantings. If you would like them to grow into a denser shrub, just give them a feed and a light trim after flowering.

We have both the sasanqua varieties (which can grow in full sun to quite shady) as well as the camellia japonica forms (that grow best in places that are protected from the afternoon sun, especially in the summer).

We usually have a broad mixture of pinks, reds, purple, yellows and whites available in both Camellia sasanquas and camellia japonica at the following Link:
