Conifer Castlewellan Gold x 1

Cupressocyparis leylandii

Known for their fast growing, hardiness and dense hedging capabilities.
 
Great as screens and windbreaks.
 
Long living with many decades of growth.
 
Drought, frost and wind tolerant.
 
Able to be grown in pots for a portable screen, topiary, bonsai etc.

Position: Full sun to semi-shade. 

Foliage: Multi-toned golds, yellow and greens. Lemon scented. Its best gold colour is produced in full sun.

Height: Easily hedged anywhere from 2-15 metres. Can be left to grow to their full height, or contained by regular pruning. Will grow between 50-80cm per year.

Planting guide: Plant 1 to 1.5 metres apart for a quick, dense hedge. To hedge even faster, plant 0.5 to 1 metre apart, then remove every second tree when they become crowded.
