Dwarf Red Flowering Gum
Eucalyptus leucoxylon megalocarpa
 
This variety has different colours of flowers, with trees usually having red/pink. You will find some have orange, some yellow and some cream.

This Red dwarf flowering gum grows into a small tree that reaches approx 5-6 metres in height when mature.
 
 
A very hardy dwarf eucalyptus that can pretty much look after themselves once established.
 
 
Highly adaptable. Will grow in a wide range of soil from sandy to clay.
 
 
Grows in a broad spectrum of climates ranging from the quite arid or the sub tropics or the temperate areas of Australia.
 
 
Drought-tolerant, great for xeriscaping (low water gardening).
 
 
Good frost tolerance.
 
Many uses: native gardens, driveways, containers, edging, farms etc.
 
 
Its has the large masses of flowers that are seen in clusters as per the pictures in this listing.
 
 
They will also grow in frost prone and coastal areas.
 
 
The flowers of this euky attract birds, butterflies and nectar eaters to your garden.
 
 
Long slender leaves and semi cascading foliage.
 
 
They can grow in full sun to semi shade.
 
 
You can plant them under tall gums as long as it is not a deep shaded position.
 
 
Once established, this variety will handle long periods without rain but it will also grow well in quite wet conditions.
