  Swamp Gum

Eucalyptus ovata

Also known as 'Black Gum', Swamp Eucalyptus, Black Eucalyptus.

A tall growing, hardy form of gum tree that will look after themselves once established.

Prefer poorly drained areas.
 
Will also grow in frost-prone and coastal areas.
 
Rough bark near ground level, becoming smooth cream/grey/white tones on the trunks and limbs.
 
Will attract birds, butterflies and nectar-eaters to your garden.

A native bird magnet!
 
Many uses including large native gardens, driveways, firewood plantings, edging, farms etc.
 
 Position: Full sun to semi-shade. 

Foliage: Long slender leaves. Semi-cascading foliage.

Evergreen.

 Flowers: Large masses of white/cream/light yellow flowers in clusters.

 Can grow to approx 20-30 metres tall
