A small growing tree originating in Madeira, off the west coast of Africa.
 

A rare plant. Hard to find in the average nursery.
 

Long living, with decades of growth.
 

Frost hardy to minus 3 degrees.
 

Protection from constant wind required.
 

If grown in the hotter parts of Australia, plant in a position that offers protection from Summer's hot afternoon sun and hot winds.

Can be left to grow to their full height, or easily controlled by regular pruning.
 

Great for screening, hedging, pots, standards, espalier, topiary or as single or multiple plantings.
 

An attractive and unique addition to your garden.
 

Position: Full sun to quite shady positions.

 

Dense, Deep green, glossy leaves up to 10cm long.

Flowers: Heavily scented bell-shaped white flowers that display in panicles, and mainly bloom in early/mid Summer.
