Tahitian Lime Tree x 1
Citrus latifolia
Also known as Seedless Limes, Persian Limes, Bearss Limes

A great cropping variety.

Will grow well both in pots and in the ground.

Frost hardy to around minus 3 degrees.
(In colder districts, plant close to buildings or under the north side of taller trees to protect from colder frosts.)

Often grown for its foliage structures as well as its fruit.

Can be used as a fruiting hedge or screen.

Will form a good shape by themselves, or can be trimmed and trained as you desire.

Can be cut back hard, and will regrow.

Great as specimen plantings, in large pots and espaliered against fences.

Position: Full sun to semi-shade.

Foliage: Beautiful lime green leaves when young, maturing to deep green. Leaves can also be used in cooking.

Flowers: Sweet citrus-scented white/cream blossoms.
Remove flowers before the 3-year mark to encourage faster growth.

Fruit: Cropping occurs mainly in Summer.

You will receive your first fruits at around the 3-year mark, with an increase in production as they mature. Will produce many kilos of fruit per year once established.

Can be used fresh or preserved.

For optimum fruit production, feed and water in the same way as you would plums, apples etc. Height: Approx 3-5 metres.
