As with all the plants of the potato family, you need to be aware that the leaves, berries etc can be harmful or toxic if consumed.
 

A fast-growing hardy shrub/screening plant that has clusters of blue flowers with contrasting yellow centres.

A very tough, long-living variety that can effectively fill dry areas.

This blue variety is a cousin of Solanum jasminoides which are the hardiest clumbers we typically have in stock.

Drought and wind resistant.

Medium frost resistance.

Will grow well in coastal areas. Light salt resistance.

Will thrive in most soil conditions.

Ideal for privacy screening, cascading down walls, training up poles, in tubs, uneven ground, embankments, hiding unsightly walls etc.

Doesn't mind being trimmed, although most people use them to cover fences, poles, posts, walls etc.

Can even be grown as standards, or kept indoors (please allow 3-4 hours direct sun each day).

Semi-deciduous: they will lose most of their leaves in Winter in colder parts of Australia.

Will flower nearly all year round in warmer Winter areas, and from Spring to Autumn in colder areas.

Full sun to semi-shade.

Height and width: up to 5-6 metres (approx).
