Green Mat Rush Lomandra hystrix Native Grass Plants
The plants you will receive in this listing will 10-20cm tall, be in individual 50mm x 70mm pots, will have established roots and will be ready to plant into your garden.
Not for Western Australia, Tasmania, Northern Territory or outside of Australia Mate!!!
Will look after themselves once established.
Quite drought and frost tolerant.
Can be grown in sand banks, semi-submerged in the middle of streams and at the edges of dams and water features. Can also survive fully submerged during flooding.
Can be used for erosion control as they have a fibrous root system, which helps to stabilise and hold soil together.
Root ball can be divided into new plants every few years.
Attracts birds and butterflies.
Great for pond edgings, pots, rows, borders etc.
Full sun to quite shady positions. Heavy clay to sandy soils.
Beautiful cream to light yellow flowers.
Planting guide: Plant 80-120cm apart as a border (can be planted closer together if you want a quicker dense effect).
