Be careful where you plant this variety of hydrangea as they can grow over 7 metres tall over time.
Best planted where it has lots of room.
The stems have aerial rootlets that adhere/grip onto surfaces.
Can be grown and trained in large containers with a trellis.
Can be cut back really hard and it will regrow.
Large flat lacecap corymbs white to soft green flowers 15-25cm in width in early Spring to Summer.
Rabbit resistant.
This variety thrives in shade to semi shade positions. (In the hotter parts of Australia, plant them in a position that protects them from the hot afternoon sun in hot months.)
Can be used as a good groundcover, but be aware that it will climb up anything vertical it finds!
Feed well in late Winter after cutting them back to encourage growth and flowers in Spring and Summer.
