Tolerates Australian Summers.

Low water usage once established.

Frost and wind resistant.

Suitable for coastal planting. Good salt resistance.

Can be trained to be single-trunked, or left to themselves to form a wide shrub/screen.

Able to be hedged.

Can be heavily pruned back, and will reshoot.

Full sun to semi-shade.

Tolerates wet conditions and quite boggy soils.

Attractive, dense squarish leaf structures (hence the name 'squarrosa').

Cream/white flowers in Spring and Summer.

Height: approx 4 metres.

Hedging guide: to create a denser screen, cut 1cm off each growing tip every 6 months for 2 years. This will encourage multiple shoots, which will help to create a thicker screen.
