Fragrant green/yellow flowers in clusters. Spring to early Summer.
Hardy low growing evergreen native shrubs with small grey/green/silver foliage that beautifully highlights its red berries.
Grows across much of arid Australia in a wide range of soil and conditions.
Great salt resistance.
The plants are able to take up the salt in the soil and store it in their leaves.
Great for those dry, hot and difficult positions.
They will grow to approximately 1-2 metres wide and approximately 50 to 100cm high.
The young leaves and fruit are meant to edible and quite palatable. Please confirm this before killing yourself by eating them :-)
Can be used by farmers as stock food. (Please check reliable sources before feeding to your $1,000,000 milk producing emus, pygmy alpacas, wombats or any other animals etc.)
