The variegated foliage photo is of our own Hydrangea Maculata in our nursery. However, the lacecap flower collage in this listing is of a similar white flowering lacecap hydrangea variety call Hydrangea Libelle. I am trying to find a copyright free flower picture of these. I am happy to give you $50 store credit if you send and let me use a copyright free picture you have taken of Hydrangea Maculata for yourself :- )

Soft white/blue central flower heads with white outer petals on longer stems in Summer and Autumn.

Hydrangeas are beautiful plants that also add great colour to the cottage garden.

They make great specimens inter-planted through gardens as well as growing well in large pots or even as espaliers against a fence or in small gardens.

Will grow approximately 1.2 metre tall and wide.

Strong and vigorous, this variety when it flowers have blossom clusters that can be up to 15 to 20cm across.

The flowers are consist of sterile outer florets which accentuate the inner fertile clusters of buds.

Will grow in a wide range of soils. (For best results in Australia, please plant them in a place that does not get Summer afternoon sun unless it is a moist area.)

Beautiful ovate, toothed leaves that are lime green when young and then maturing to deep green. Foliage will often develop purple hues later in the growing season.

You will often see them grown for their foliage structures as well as their flowers.

They will form a good shape by themselves, although you can trim and train them to your desired growth requirements.

They can be cut back hard in late Autumn and they will reshoot in Spring.

Also make great dried flowers for home, art or potpourri.

Can be grown in pots or planted directly in the ground.

Prefers semi-shade to shade, and moist soil.

Important Information:
Acid levels in the soil will greatly determine the flower colour of this hydrangea variety. Acid soils bring out the blues, lilacs and purples. Neutral soils bring out the reds and pinks. Alkaline soils bring out the reds and burgundy centres. To increase acid levels in your soil, you can add aluminum sulphate which brings out the intense blues of the variety; for the pinks and reds, please add lime. This needs to be done before blooms form. Or, you can just simply plant them straight into the soil and just let the natural soil levels determine colours.

We work hard to try and ensure our notes on the variety/varieties listed are true and correct, but do not accept any responsibility for errors or information that may have occured either by my staff or or myself.
