Hardy, fast growing native plants.

Can be trimmed regularly to suit your needs, or left to develop into its natural form.

Can be heavily pruned back, and will reshoot.

Low water use once established.

Good Frost resistance.

Suitable for coastal planting.

Good salt resistance.

Bird attracting.

Works well as hedges, scattered plantings, native gardens, borders, privacy screens and windbreaks.

Full sun to semi-shade.

Evergreen Foliage: Mid to dark green.

Masses of bottlebrush-like red/orange flowers in Spring and Summer.

Height: Approx 2.5 metres.

Width: Approx 1-2 metres.

Hedging guide: To create a denser screen, cut 1cm off each growing tip every 6 months for 2 years. This will encourage multiple shoots, which helps to create a thicker screen/hedge.
