Rose Forest Sheoak
Allocasuarina torulosa
Synonym: Casuarina stricta
Often used in rows, roadside or scattered plantings.
Effective screening trees when planted enmasse.
Position: Full sun to semi-shade.
Foliage: Greyish-green needle-like drooping foliage.
Attractive deeply fissured bark with cork like appearance.
Winter flowering Reddish Brown/Rose. Male flowers are reddish-brown; female flowers are red with small cones.
Height: Approx 10-15 metres (approx 10 metres in Melbourne).
