 Hardy and quite fast growing native small trees/large shrubs that give an abundance of creamy light yellow with red-tinged bottlebrush flowers in Spring and Summer.

Lemon Bottlebrush Father Christmas Callistemon pallidus plants

The new foliage comes out pink and  darkens to grey/green as they mature.
 
They pretty much look after themselves once established.
 
Quite drought-tolerant once established.
 
Once established this variety will handle long periods without rain but it will also grow well in quite wet conditions.
 
They will also grow in frost prone and coastal areas.
 
Can tolerate windy conditions.
 
Great for xeriscaping, containers, edging, rockeries, hedges, borders, screens etc.
 
Will grow in most soil types.
 
Able to withstand full sun to semi shade.
 
They attract birds to your garden. 
 
This variety will grow to a height of approximately 3 metres tall and 2 metres wide.
 
Prune back and feed after flowering to give a tighter better shaped shrub.
