Position: Full sun to semi-shade. Prefers well-drained soil. (Drainage can be improved by adding 10-15cm of sandy loam topsoil before planting.)
 

Foliage: Evergreen.

 

Flowers: Large gold "candlestick" cones, followed by classic wooden seed pods that usually stay on the plant.
Flowers from Winter to Spring.
