Camellia japonica x Camellia x transnokoensis

Beautifully foliaged and fragranced peony double flowering plants that are white with tinges of pink on the outer petals.

They work well scattered or massed around you garden.

Often used to add height contrast and color to gardens.    

Shrub to Small Tree  

Height:  Approx 2.5 to 3 metres.
Width:  Approx 90cm to 1.5 metres.

Can be trimmed after flowering to maintain at desired height and width.

Position: Camellia Jean May prefers part shade to high shade.

Japonica grow in Full sun to quite shady positions.
But are best kept out of the afternoon summer sun in the hot parts of Australia.  

We also usually stock some Camellia sasanqua varieties.
Sasanqua camellias have a higher sun tolerance and will grow in full sun to part shade.  

Foliage: Mid Green glossy leaves that start out with some tones of red that darken to green as they mature.

Flowering: Autumn to Spring Flowers:

Sweet fraganced with hints of cinnamon, their peony double flowers are white with delightful fades to gentle pink.

Evergreen  

Great cut flowers, feature plantings, borders, screening, pots, tubs, veranda, balcony, scattered plantings, mass plantings. If you would like them to grow into a denser shrub, just give them a feed and a light trim after flowering.

We have both the sasanqua varieties (which can grow in full sun to quite shady) as well as the camellia japonica forms (that grow best in places that are protected from the afternoon sun, especially in the summer).
