Cushion Bush Leucophyta brownii Silver foliage plants

Low growing, yellow flowering shrubs. Very unique silver/grey/white to grey blue foliage.

Will grow to a height of 70-100 cm.

This is a very hardy variety.

Can be trimmed or hedged back to maintain a lower height if that is what you desire.

Great for rockeries, mass plantings, borders, low hedging, pots and native gardens.  

Quite salt tolerant as it also grows on the ocean foreshores.
This also makes it suitable to grow in coastal areas or near salt water pools.

Can handle very windy conditions.

The grey foliage adds great effect thoughout many styles of gardening.

They prefer a well drained position.

To fix poor drainage, just add 10 to 15cm of sandy loam topsoil to the area you want to plant them.

Will not like the Warm humid tropics and subtropics.

Due to its light foliage which reflects light, many people use them along pathways to help  better define them at night.  

This is one of our toughest evergreen drought and frost resistant plants.  

They prefer sunny to semi shade growing positions.
