This is a fast growing variety that hedges well.

Frost hardy.

This is a  fast growing shrub that can get to over 1.5 metre in 2 years when fed and watered well.


It hedges well and is popular for its great foliage structures and prolific growth.

The Privet species to grow in Australia is Ligustrum undulatum. 

This variety is sterile, doesn't grow berries and is not invasive.

You can hedge them anywhere from 50cm to 1.8 metres high.

A hedge/shrub that is quite hardy.

Also grows in frost prone and coastal areas.
 
 Handling dry regions when established. 
 
Plant them 40-80cm apart to hedge.
 
The lower the hedge, the closer you plant them.
 
 Great for general landscaping.
 
Able to withstand full sun to semi shade,
 
Will grow in most soil types. 
 
Low watering once established.

They are great as individual topiary forms as well.

As a hedge it creates definition, statement and privacy.

It works well in scattered plantings

or as a contrasting border.
