Hardy and fast growing.

Low water use once established.

Frost resistant and quite wind resistant.

Suitable for coastal planting.

Good salt resistance.

Can be pruned back heavily, and will reshoot.

Works well as scattered plantings in native settings, hedges, borders, privacy screens and windbreaks.

Position: Full sun to semi-shade.

Light to mid green/blue tinged, rounded, heart-shaped leaves.

Masses of purple bottlebrush-like flowers in Spring and Summer.

Grows to Approx 1 metre high and wide.

Hedging guide: To create a denser screen, cut 1cm off each growing tip every 6 months for 2 years.
