Pittosporum tenuifolium Green Pillar


 
A narrow, fast growing, long living hedging variety.
 
 
Drought resistant once established.
 
 
Frost resistant.
 
 
Suitable for coastal areas.
 
 
Can be trimmed regularly to suit your needs, or left to run into its natural shape.
 
 
Not prone to woodiness and has a non-aggressive root system.
 
 
Great for hedging, scattered plantings, border, topiary, bonsai or in pots to create a moveable screen.

 

Position: Full sun to semi-shade.
Thrives in most soil conditions.

 

Foliage: Vivid lime green rounded leaves with black branchlets that stand out amongst the foliage. Evergreen.

 

Height: Approx 2.5 metres.

 

Width: Approx 1 metre.

Can be hedged from 40cm to 230cm

 

Planting guide: 
Plant 20% closer together than you want your hedge's final height to be (e.g. plant 20cm apart for a 25cm tall hedge, plant 40cm apart for a 50cm tall hedge, plant 75-100cm apart for hedges over 1 metre).
