Grevillea robusta
A popular, fast growing Australian native tree.
The largest and tallest variety in the genus Grevillea.
Frost resistant to around minus 7 (requires some protection when younger, but will toughen up after the first couple of years).
In cold winters it will lose some many of its leaves and reshoot in Spring
The wood is light and works well for furniture, fencing etc.
Also beautiful in floral arrangements.
Will attract birds to your garden.
Many uses including screenings, hedges, borders, feature rows, scattered plantings etc.
Position: Full sun to light shade. Able to adapt to a wide range of soils.
Foliage: Leaves grow to around 15-25cm long. Attractive seed pods. Evergreen.
